甘肃农业大学坐落在兰州市安宁区，地处规划中的兰州市新城中心。前身是1946年10月创建于兰州的国立兽医学院，学校占地165万平方米，建筑面积66万平方米。现设有23个学院（教学部），64个本科专业，拥有食品科学与工程等6个国家级一流本科专业，动物医学等5个国家级特色专业，生物技术等9个省级一流本科专业；1个国家级重点学科（草业科学），1个农业部重点学科和18个省级重点学科。4个博士后科研流动站，8个一级学科博士学位授权点，1个交叉学科博士学位授权点，1个专业博士学位授权类别，18个一级学科硕士学位授权点，9个专业学位授权类别。有国家重点实验室培育基地1个，国家级实验教学示范中心1个，省级实验教学示范中心11个，省部共建和省级重点实验室、工程实验室以及各类研究中心（基地）40个。
学校有教职工1423人，其中专任教师1151人，有高级职称人员556人。现有普通本科在校生16920人，硕士研究生1960人，博士研究生438人，国际学生100余人。
学校十分重视国际交流与合作，同美国、澳大利亚、英国、俄罗斯、日本、埃及等20个国家的近60多所大学和科研机构保持着学术交流关系，双方学者相互考察访问，进行科研协作和派遣教师进修、学生留学等。
我校招收各种类别的国际学生，并特别设立“甘肃农业大学国际学生校长奖学金”吸引品学兼优的各类国际学生。

2021年秋季国际学生招生工作现已开始，现将具体事宜公布如下：
一、招生类别和名额
学历生：博士研究生（15人）、硕士研究生（5人）
二、招生学科和专业
我校具有博士、硕士学位授予权的学科专业均招收国际学生接受学历教育。详见甘肃农业大学国际学生招生专业目录（附件1）。
三、学习方式和学习年限
1. 攻读学位的国际学生学习方式为全日制。
我校实行双学期制，第一个学期九月至一月，第二个学期二月至七月。
2. 硕士生为2-3年，博士生为3年。
四、汉语要求
攻读学位的硕士研究生入学前须具有HSK等级证书，为新四级180分。
攻读学位的博士研究生须具有一定汉语水平，HSK等级证书为新三级180分。
五、申请资格
1. 申请人须为非中国籍公民，目前在中国境内就读，持有效外国护照，身体健康，品行端正，遵守中国政府的法律、法规和学校的规章制度。
2. 申请人的学历和年龄要求：
攻读硕士学位者，必须本科毕业或具有同等学历，年龄不超过36周岁；
攻读博士学位者，必须硕士毕业或具有同等学历，年龄不超过42周岁。
六、提交申请材料
所有申请人需在“甘肃农业大学国际学生在线服务系统” https://gsau.17gz.org/注册填报申请信息，并上传相应申请材料，包括：
1. 最高学历证明（需公证）及成绩单；
2. 推荐信：两名教授或副教授的推荐信，用中文或英文书写；
3. 汉语或英语水平证明： HSK考试成绩单或其它汉语学习证明、托福或雅思证书或其他英语水平证明；
4. 在职或在校证明：申请人如果是在校学生或在职工作，需提交本人就读学校或工作单位出具的在学证明或在职证明；
5. 来华学习或研究计划；
6. 外国人体格检查记录：所在地出入境检验检疫局出具的外国人体格检查表。申请人应严格按照《外国人体格检查记录》中要求的项目进行检查，体检表过期、缺项、未贴本人照片或照片上未盖骑缝章、无医师或医院签字盖章的《外国人体格检查记录》无效；
7. 当地所在派出所出具的无犯罪记录证明；
8. 经济担保（如：银行存款证明）；
9. 奖学金申请表：请下载附件2，填写后上传。
七、申请截止时间
申请者请于2021年6月20日前提交材料。
八、入学资格及时间
我校根据国际学生的基本情况、申请专业师资情况、导师意见和学校意见择优录取，审核通过后，将向申请者寄发给录取学生《录取通知书》和 JW202 表。
开学时间：2021年9月；学生必须持录取通知书按期到校报到。未履行延期手续，超过报到时间 15 天者，取消入学资格。

2. 甘肃农业大学校长奖学金
2021年，我校为品学兼优的硕、博士国际学生提供“甘肃农业大学校长奖学金”，博士国际学生优先录取。
奖学金包括：
博士专业学习阶段：免学费及住宿费（3年），并提供1000元/月生活补助（共10个月，寒暑假除外）。
硕士专业学习阶段：免学费及住宿费（2-3年），并提供1000元/月生活补助（共10个月，寒暑假除外）。
其它费用如注册费、体检费、书本费、保险费、生活费、杂费等自理。

Admission Notice of Gansu Agricultural University
for International Students
（Autumn 2021）
Gansu Agricultural University (GAU) is located on the picturesque Yellow River bank in Anning District of Lanzhou. Its predecessor was the national veterinary college founded in Lanzhou in October 1946, covering an area of 1.65 million square meters and a building area of 660000 square meters.
At present, there are 23 colleges (teaching departments), 64 undergraduate majors, 6 national first-class undergraduate majors such as food science and engineering, 5 national characteristic majors such as animal medicine, and 9 provincial first-class undergraduate majors such as biotechnology; One national key discipline (Grassland Science), one Ministry of agriculture key discipline and 18 provincial key disciplines. There are 4 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 8 first-class discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 1 interdisciplinary doctoral degree authorization point, 1 professional doctoral degree authorization category, 18 first-class discipline master degree authorization points, and 9 professional degree authorization categories. There are 1 national key laboratory training base, 1 national experimental teaching demonstration center, 11 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers, 40 provincial key laboratories, engineering laboratories and various research centers (bases). The school has 1423 teaching staff, including 1151 full-time teachers and 556 personnel with senior titles. At present, there are 16920 undergraduate students, 1960 master's students, 438 doctoral students and more than 100 international students.
The University attaches great importance to international exchange and cooperation, and maintains academic exchange relations with more than 60 universities and scientific research institutions in 20 countries, including the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan and Egypt. Scholars from both sides visit each other, conduct scientific research cooperation and send teachers and students to study abroad.
GAU actively develops International exchange and cooperation, which sets the “GAU President Scholarship” to attract the excellent international student.

The recruitment of international students in the autumn of 2021 has started. The details are as follows:
1. Enrollment Category and Quota
Degree candidates: 15 doctoral candidates and 5 master candidates.
2. Disciplines and Majors
GAU has the right to confer doctoral and master's degrees, and all disciplines and majors recruit international students to receive academic education. For details, please refer to the major catalog of international student enrollment of Gansu Agricultural University (Annex 1).
3. Mode and Length of Study
Mode: Full-time (Two semesters: September to January, March to June)
Length of Study: Master: 3 years; Doctoral: 3 years
4. Chinese Language requirements
Applicants should have the basic knowledge of Chinese, and provide relevant Chinese certificate or study certificates.
An effective HSK certificate (level 4, mark 180) is required for an applicant for the Master Degree program. An effective HSK certificate (level 3, mark 180) is required for an applicant for the PhD Degree program.
5. Eligibility
(1) The applicant must be non-Chinese with a valid passport, be in good health and have no criminal record, will observe all the laws of China as well as the rules and regulations of GAU.
(2) Educational background and age requirements of the applicant:
Applicants for Master Degree studies must finish a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent and aged under 36.
Applicants for Doctoral Degree studies must finish a Master’s Degree or its equivalent and aged under 42.
6. Application Materials
All applicants should be registered on "international student online service system of Gansu Agricultural University” https://gsau.17gz.org/ to register and complete the application procedure as required:
(1) The Certificate of the highest Degree and the transcript should be notarized;
(2) Two recommendation letters in Chinese or English by different professors or associate professors;
(3) Certificate of Chinese or English proficiency: for majors taught in Chinese, please provide HSK test transcripts or other Chinese learning certificates; For majors taught in English, please provide TOEFL or IELTS certificate or other English proficiency certificate;
(4) Working or Studying Certificate for applicants who are currently student or in-service;
(5) Study or research plan in Chinese or in English;
(6) Physical examination record of foreigners: the physical examination form of foreigners issued by the local entry exit inspection and Quarantine Bureau. The applicant shall carry out the examination in strict accordance with the items required in the record of physical examination for foreigners. Incomplete records, forms without the attending physician’s signature, official stamp of the hospital, or a photograph of the applicants are invalid;
(7) Notarized Certificate of No Criminal Record/Background clearance;
(8) Economic Assurance (e.g. Bank statement);
(9) Scholarship Application Form: please download attachment 2, fill in and upload.
7. Application Deadline
Applicants are requested to submit materials before June 20, 2021
8. Approval and Enrollment:
GAU will organize a committee to review all the application materials, make the decision whether to admit the applicants. After that, GAU will release the list of matriculated students and send them the Admission Notice of GAU and Visa Application for Study in China (i.e.: JW202 Form) for “X1” visa application in the Chinese embassy. All the International students matriculated in GAU are responsible for their visa application on their own.
Opening time: September 2021; Students must report to the University on time with the letter of admission. Those who fail to fulfill the extension procedures and report for more than 15 days will be disqualified.
9. Fees
(1) For self-funded students, please refer to the charging standard for international students of Gansu Agricultural University (Annex 3)
(2) GAU sets the GAU President Scholarship for Mater and Doctoral (priority) applicants which includes:
Doctoral professional study stage: free tuition and accommodation (3 years), and provide 1000 yuan / month living allowance (a total of 10 months, except winter and summer vacation).
Master professional study stage: free tuition and accommodation (2-3 years), and provide 1000 yuan / month living allowance (a total of 10 months, except winter and summer vacation).
Other expenses, e.g., registration fee, physical exam fee, book fee, insurance fee and other expense will be afforded by students.
